GKI-Erste economic sentiment index remained unchanged in April

In April, the GKI-Erste economic sentiment index adjusted for seasonal effects remained at its March level following a modest increase of two months and a previous significant decline of almost one year. This corresponds to the level at the end of summer 2011.

In March, the GKI-Erste economic sentiment index adjusted for seasonal effects rose to its 2011 late summer level following a continuous decline of almost one year (except the last two months during which it increased).

Industrial confidence index and production

Industrial confidex index is based on responds of the GKI's monthly business survey. This index shows concincideny with the offical data referring to industrial production. Since the index is available before the official data, it can contribute to making decisions of business actors.
